Four business women have come together to form We Mean Business with the aim of offering support to Brighouse businesses and promoting them.

The group is for anyone who is looking for support for more work, whether it be a new role, thinking of starting a business, having a new business, being a sole trader or having a medium sized business.

Group leader Rachel Gough said: “We saw a gap in the market to help people who are scared of networking come to networking events.

“We also want to help local people develop their business and get help with issues they face, as well as celebrate successes they achieve, as being in business can be a lonely place.

“We’ve had an amazing response and the feedback we have had is that it is a brilliant idea.

“It’s more than about business though - it is about offering true support, inspiration and motivation to business people in Calderdale too.”

As a not-for-profit organisation, We Mean Business offers positive and inspiring networking meetings that generate business, offer training to develop skills, facilitating peer mentoring groups, mentor support and celebrating success.
