Calderdale is set for a cold and windy day today, (Wednesday), with spells of rain.

Residents should expect lows of 9C and highs of 11C. Wind speeds will reach up to 65 miles per hour.

Meanwhile traffic is starting to build up on the major roads in Calderdale.

Traffic on the A58 Wharf Street in Sowerby Bridge is busy but moving in both directions at the A6139 Tuel Lane junction.

Traffic on the A58 Bolton Brow in Sowerby Bridge is busy but moving around the A6026 Wakefield Road traffic lights junction.

There is heavy traffic on the A629 Calderdale Way southbound in Elland before the Ainley Top Roundabout.

On the A629 Calderdale Way in Elland traffic is busy but moving in both directions at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

There is queuing traffic and heavier than usual traffic on the M62 eastbound between junction 24, A629 (Ainley Top) and junction 25, A644 (Brighouse).

There is heavy traffic on the A644 Wakefield Road into town in Brighouse at the A643 Clifton Road junction.

Traffic is busy but moving on the A58 Aachen Way in Halifax at the Queen’s Road junction.

Traffic on the A629 Cow Green in Halifax is busy but moving in both directions at the Bull Green junction.

Traffic on the A58 Aachen Way in Halifax is busy but moving at the Queen’s Road junction.
