Members of staff at a building society branch in Brighouse will be making a spook-tacle of themselves this Halloween to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The fancy dress fundraiser at Yorkshire Building Society, on Bethel Street, is taking place on Friday, October 31.
Samantha McNamara, assistant manager of the Yorkshire Building Society’s Brighouse branch, said: “We’re really looking forward to raising everyone’s spirits and having a ghoulishly good time, all for a good cause.
“There will be some treats and some tricks in store for our customers and passing members of the public, and we hope they will help us in our fundraising for Marie Curie.”
Colleagues at the branch will also be having a cake sale and a colouring competition for children to help raise additional funds for the charity.
The fundraising is in aid of Hour of Need – the campaign by the society and Marie Curie Cancer Care to raise £500,000 by December 2016, which equates to funding an hour of care by a Marie Curie nurse for every hour of the campaign.
Throughout the campaign Yorkshire Building Society Group colleagues will be involved in a variety of exciting fundraising activities and events as well as volunteering their time to Marie Curie.
