Prego Italian Café Bar and Restaurant has been named as runnder-up in two categories at the inaugural English Italian Awards.
The Brighouse-based business was nominated by their customers for Best Team and Best Family Restaurant along with 10 other restaurants in each category.
The director and senior management team attended the awards dinner and were delighted with their runner-up accolades.
Director Lidia Shinwell said: “We are very grateful for having had an opportunity to shine nationally and are absolutely delighted to have won runner up for both Best Family Restaurant and Best Team. We really do believe if you look after your staff your staff in turn will look after you and your business.
“With regards to being runners up for Best Family, this really is the greatest of honours as family means so much to us. My father came over from Italy an 18 year old boy without an education or a penny to his name.
“Through hard work creativity and love for all things Italian he was awarded the honour of Cavalieri by the Italian government.
“We feel our restaurant is extremely family orientated and for this reason we developed the Prego Play concept, an area for the entertainment of children with toys, games, arts and crafts.
“We feel our uniqueness in having Prego Play helped us be shortlisted finalists.”
