Members of PS4Fitness in Brighouse put their best feet forward and raised charity cash for Overgate Hospice.

Paul Sterling, who set up the functional fitness centre at Huddersfield Road two years ago, organised a sponsored 5km walk along the canal from Brighouse to Elland.

He said: “I am keen to support local charities and Overgate Hospice is close to my heart.”

Eleven members took part and £490 was raised for the Elland hospice.

“The walk was a fun event and everyone who took part enjoyed themselves.”

“I set up the fitness centre two years ago and it’s been quite a journey. I have worked hard to make it clear that PS4 Fitness is not a gym and we do not have exercise machines, cross trainers and so on.

“Instead we use functional equipment that mimics everyday movements like squatting, reaching and lifting and manage and motivate our members to achieve their individual goals.”

Lauren Ingram from Overgate Hospice visited PS4 Fitness to collect the charity cheque - and was put through her paces by Paul.
