Central Methodist Church in Brighouse was blooming in all its glory as it held its 10th Flower Festival.
Held every three years, this year’s theme was God’s Garden where there were stunning floral arrangements and displays using blooms of every size and colour.
Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band also performed a gala concert at the church.
Linda Tolley, one of the organisers of the festival, said: “The event went really well and had hundreds of people come.
“We had some wonderful displays that were out of this world as we have some very talented members from the church.
“B&R were excellent again with their ususal high quality performance.
“On behalf of the church I would like to say thank you to everyone who supported this event.”
The first festival took place in 1987 following the restoration of the church after it was badly damaged by fire. Since then thousands of pounds have been raised for charity.
This year the beneficiaries were the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Overgate Hospice and Marie Curie Nurses.
All the displays were created by church members and over the weekend there were stalls selling crafts and plants and a display of wood carving.
