SEVERAL streets throughout Hipperholme and Lightcliffe have been earmarked for the allocation of another waste bin
The chosen houses in the area have been selected to take in a trial which means they will have an extra bin for garden waste.
The other five being used for paper, plastic, food waste, glass bottles and general waste.
The new bins will be sent to the homes as part of a new experiment by Calderdale Council.
The scheme will begin on April 16 and will run for 22 weeks.
Letters have been sent out to the households which will be involved in the scheme.
The streets to get an extra bin include Highlandville, Westfield Gardens, Westfield Avenue, Westfield Drive, Denholmegate Road, Smithfield Avenue, Bramley Lane, The Grove, Northedge Park, Mayfield, Brodley Close, Leeds Road, Amisfield Road, The Drive, Astral Close, Astral Avenue, The Avenue, Craiglands, Bramley Fold, Upper Sutherland Road, Leyburn Avenue, Hawthorn Street, Holly Bank Drive, Rock Terrace, Ash Close, Holly Bank Court, Sutherland Road, Knowle Top Road, Knowle Top Drive, Cecil Avenue, Mountfields and Bramley View.
Collections will take place fortnightly on the same day as the refuse collection.
The first is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 19.
The trial is optional, so if people wish not to take part they can cancel the delivery of the 140lt bin, which is the same size as the refuse one but slimmer by contacting Calderdale Council.
The scheme will also cover Illingworth.
