Committee member Douglas Hewitt at Rastrick Bowling and Social Club has been in touch to pass on that this Saturday they have some tickets still available for their St Patrick’s Party with the fabulous Paddywackers and Irish dancers. Tickets are £10 per person and include a pint and a plate of Irish stew.

On Friday night at Jeremy’s, back by popular demand is Helter Skelter with indie and Brit pop covers. On Saturday night from 9pm, Redhouse will be on stage. The Sunday afternoon acoustic from 4pm is with Chris Scarlett. They are also offering a three course meal for Mother’s Day on Sunday with a free cocktail for every dining mum.

At the Armytage Arms this Mother’s Day, they are celebrating all weekend with some special treats for mum, which include a free pudding. The St Patrick’s Day celebrations also start this weekend with their limited edition Jameson’s whiskey cocktails, including The Big Apple Pitcher and Whiskey Back, available from Saturday March 14 to 17. Plus, on St. Paddy’s Day itself, you can enjoy pints of Guinness for just £1.99 up until 4pm. Guinness themed hats and discounted drinks will also be available with proceeds going to Cancer Research.

The Globe on Rastrick Common is busy taking bookings for Sunday as they offer a sumptuous three course menu available at £13.50 for adults and £6.75 for children.

At the Whitehall, Hipperholme, they have a DJ this Saturday night and on Sunday acoustic duo Bad Steriods will entertain on Mother’s Day from 5pm.
