In memory of Donna

FAMILY and friends of the late Dr Donna McCormick are organising fundraising events in her memory.
Former Brighouse Girls' Grammar School student, Dr McCormick, died in January aged 37 from leukaemia.
She was known as a fun-loving young woman who continued to think of others even when she was ill.
And now her friends who were with her at school in Brighouse are planning events to raise money for Leukaemia Research.
Janette Martin, 36, who during her childhood lived near Donna and was in the same class at Brighouse Girls' Grammar, is taking part in the Great Manchester Run on May 18, and helped by others she is organising a charity evening at Hove Edge Bowling Club on July 11.
"Donna had a group of good friends from her schooldays and we all kept in touch when we moved on to university and other areas. We met up as often as we could," said Janette, who lives in Huddersfield with her husband David and their five-year-old son Dylan.
