A DRIVER was rescued by firefighters and paramedics when her car, a blue Hyundai, crashed on ice at the junction of Rayner Drive and Smithy Carr Lane, Brighouse on Sunday morning.
Emergency services, including two fire engines, ambulances and police cars, were called to the scene at 8.30am when the Hyundai collided with a MG Rover.
Rayner Drive resident Derek Hamer, who took the photograph from his bedroom window, said he was amazed when he saw the number of emergency vehicles.
"They all arrived very quickly and were helping the lady out of the Hyundai," he said. "The road was icy early in the morning."
A spokesman for Brighouse fire brig-ade said crews stabilised the vehicles and helped the driver in the Hyundai.
"She was having problems with her neck," he said.
The female driver of the Rover was believed to be unhurt
