Great Britain honour for Lynn

MOUNTAINEER and rock climber Lynn Robinson has set off to represent Great Britain in a prestigious expedition to climb Mont Blanc, the highest peak in western Europe.
Lynn, who was brought up in Brighouse and went to St Andrew's Infant and Junior Schools, Brighouse, before going to Holy Trinity CE Senior School in Halifax, is the younger daughter of Neil and Marjorie Robinson, of Brighouse. Her father was head teacher of St Andrew's Junior School for 28 years.
Lynn, 42, who lives in Nottingham with her husband Dr Steve Clark, is one of 27 women taking part in the expedition, one from each of the countries who are full members of the European Union. She left her home on Tuesday for the week-long trek.
