A TALENTED team of volunteers transformed a Brighouse church into a scene from the Olympics with a range of stunning floral displays.
About 2,000 people visited Central Methodist Church for the 2008 Flower Festival.
Held on the theme of 'The Spirit of the Olympics' the three-day event is expected to raise around £9,000 for three charities – the Hollybank Trust, Breast Cancer Care Unit (Halifax) and the West Yorkshire Forget-Me-Not-Trust.
Visitors, who included the Mayor and Mayoress of Calderdale, Coun Conrad Winterburn and Mrs Hilary Winterburn, Calder Valley MP Chris McCafferty and her husband David Tarlo, Brighouse councillors and representatives from the three charities, were impressed by what they saw.
