HOME-GROWN vegetables, home-made cakes and handicrafts were on display at the 73rd Southowram Horticultural and Allotment Society Show.
About 75 people submitted entries for the 68 categories at Withinfields Primary School, Southowram.

Show secretary Pauline Ackroyd said the event had been a huge success.

"One of the most unusual entries was a flower which was in the shape of a kitchen utensil.

"Everyone seem to have a good time and the weather stayed dry most of the day."

Mr Matthew Hopkins, deputy head at the school, presented the awards.
