THREE well respected members of staff who worked at Calderdale Council offices in Lawson Road, Brighouse, were remembered at a tree planting ceremony held in front of the offices.
Social worker Belquis Sadiq died in January 2006 during a pilgrimage to Mecca, Maureen Buck, who worked for the education welfare committee also based in Lawson Road, died from cancer in March the same year and in February last year social care assessor Kathleen Blissett died, also from cancer.
Senior practitioner with social services based in Brighouse, Mr Allan Armstrong, said all three women were fondly remembered by all those who worked with them in the Brighouse office.
