Rastrick residents will have the chance to Voice their Choice and help decide where £65,000 can be spent to benefit children and young people.

Rastrick Big Local (RBL) Partnership has organised the event at Rastrick Bowling Club on Toothill Bank on October 22 at 7pm.

The group is in charge of allocating £1 million of Lottery funding for the benefit of the area and create a lasting legacy.

Adrian Hartshorn, RBL ambassador, said: “It’s a new idea for this area.

“Residents will be able to find out how their organisation can benefit by attending.

“The meeting will also include the annual general meeting where people can elect their partnership member s and find out how the £1m is being spent.”

There will also be a free pie and peas supper but residents must register if they are attending for the meal.

The partnership has also seen RBL link up with Helen Thompson, who has been appointed by RBL to succeed Tony Mullin as Big Local Trust representative.
