£500 gift for Party in Park

LANDOWNERS Thornhill Estates have given their backing to the first Party in the Park being held by a group of Rastrick residents.
The chairman of the Carr Green and Crowtrees Community Action group, Christine Beal, received a cheque for £500 from Mr Edmund Thornhill, managing director of London-based Thornhill Estates.

The business, which dates back to 1066, owns areas of land in the Brighouse and Huddersfield areas, and Mr Thornhill visits the managing agent Carter Jonas on a monthly basis.

He said he was delighted for the company to get involved with a community event in the area.
