£3,000 raised in Donna's memory

AUCTION lots ranging from holidays and paint-balling sessions to 'X-Factor' merchandise signed by celebrities raised more than £3,000 at a charity auction and concert.
The event, at Hove Edge Bowling Club, was raising money for Leukaemia Research and was held in the memory of former Brighouse student Dr Donna McCormick who died earlier this year.
Brighouse folk singer and songwriter Roger Davies entertained the hundreds of guests and donated an autographed acoustic guitar for the auction. Before the event took place the paint-balling session for 35 people had already brought in a bid of £400.
