Cafe is now the coolest spot
VISITORS to a Calderdale park have been popping to the loo more than ever - for ice creams, drinks and sandwiches.
Former public toilets at Wellholme Park, Brighouse, have been transformed into a chic caf. New owners Paul and Tracy McWhire said: “We get a few comments about the building’s former use, but the feedback is mostly popular and people are surprised at how much it has changed.”
Paul, 35, who gave up his job as a hairdresser in Brighouse to run The Coffee Shop with his wife, said the caf had proved especially popular in the warm weather and they were hoping to have lunchtime customers all year round.
