Bard of Brighouse tunes to local radio

Roger Davies will be making a welcome return to some of his favourite venues for a series of special concerts to promote the release of his brand new album ‘Local Radio’.

The composer of ‘Brighouse On Saturday Night’ ‘Peter Brook’s Paintings’ ‘The Beerbelly Blues’ and ‘Into The Sun’ be performing on Saturday, March 28, at Square Chapel Centre of the Arts in Halifax and at the Millers bar in Brighouse on April 11.

Roger’s song ‘1,000 Tears’ was used as part of the Kirklees Road Safety Partnership’s Anti Drink Driving Campaign over the 2014 Christmas and New Year period.

‘Wear Your Poppy With Pride’ was released last November as a fundraising single which helped to raise hundreds of pounds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

‘The Grand Depart’ was also released as a fundraising single last July to celebrate the start of the Tour de France which took place in his home county of Yorkshire. Proceeds from the single were donated to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield.
