Me and my partner went to the inn cognito restaurant on sat 17th November as we had been recommended this restaurant by a friend. On entering I could see why, it was a lovely setting with a very homely and welcoming open fire. The restaurant was fairly empty for 8pm on a Saturday night. The waitress took our order in a polite manner and then a young girl came over a threw the paper towels on the table and slammed the knvies and folks to one side of the table. You could tell she wasn't happy about working there as she moped around. The starters were nice and well presented albeit a little cold. The main courses that followed were horrendous! My partners steak was over cooked from the rare she asked for and the Cajun sauce was smothered on rather than in a boat as she would have expected it. My steak was drenched in what was supposed to be a Diane sauce. It was more like flavoured water! This was a real shame as the setting wad lovely but the food just spoilt it! Four stars for the setting and the rest..................

This is a fantastic restaurant. It has something for everyone on the menu and is great to bring large groups where there will be diverse tastes as the menu covers, italian, mexican, cajun, chinese, steaks and many others. The owners are friendly and helpful and it is easy to relax and laugh without feeling as if you are spoiling other diners experiences. The prices are good as the quality of the food is always high and consistently well cooked and served.
We went with a group from the calderdale Gay Pride celebration and it was nice that the chef acknowledged where we had been and enquired if we had enjoyed ourselves.
My only small quibble would be that the decor is very dated and it could do with a refurb, plus one of the toilet cubicles is very small.

Very tasty italian food at reasonable prices, quite small, cosy restaurant, excellent service, allow bookings. Close to bus station and close walk to train station for visitors to the town centre.

A fantastic little restaurant, conveniently located opposite the bus station. With a range of Italian, Creole and Mexican food theres something for everyone. While not ridiculously cheap, the portions are generous and the food so good that it still feels like good value.

A really great place to eat. Just next to the bus station and not far from the train station for easy access. Not usually full so you don’t have to ring up miles in advance but it is a popular place. The food is delicious - their pizzas and calzones are so tasty and you really do get large helpings. The puddings are also lovely if you can find room! The place isn’t all that modern but its cosiness adds to its charm. Its a very relaxed place to catch up with friends and enjoy a great meal.
