	     	<title><![CDATA[Peacocks staff lose jobs]]></title>

				     		     	<description><![CDATA[<!--PSTYLE=WINT Web Intro--><p>NINE shop staff have lost their jobs following the sale of fashion retailer Peacocks.</p><!--PSTYLE=WBDY Web Bodytext--><p>The store in King Street, Brighouse, is one of 224 closures announced by administrators KPMG. </p><p>The business has been bought by Edinburgh Woollen Mill but it is only retaining 388 stores, 57 concessions, three distribution centres and the head office in Wales. </p><p>&#8220;Unfortunately, the stores not included in the sale have ceased trading with immediate effect resulting in 3,100 redundancies,&#8221; said KPMG.</p><p>Peacocks went into administration last month having failed to restructure part of its &#163;750 million debt.</p>]]></description>
